⚠️Call to ACTION⚠️ — Petitions Need YOUR Signatures!

A lot is going on, and there’s a great deal to digest. But in this moment there are a few simple, yet urgent, things you can do to help the art community:

COVID-19 Relief for NYC Art Galleries, Artists, and Art Workers

March 8 — Commercial art galleries, artist-run exhibition spaces, and not-for-profit exhibition spaces across the city of New York NEED to be included in the relief package. Under the current proposal, they do not qualify. Please sign the petition HERE.

New York Art Workers Support #CancelRent

March 25 — Michael Gianaris, the Deputy Majority Leader of the New York State Senate has introduced Senate bill S8125 to cancel rent for residential and commercial tenants in New York for 90 days.  This would be critical to the survival of artists, non-profit art spaces, and small galleries. Please follow the prompts HERE.

I will try to update this as the weeks roll on. There’s a long road ahead. If you have other suggestions on what can be done to help, please leave message in the comments below. Thank you!
